students’ stableHey all you future stewards, welcome! Come and learn with Kit and Burt! “Are you a student looking for information about biology, plant or earth science? Are you interested in learning more about Nature and all the creatures and features that live in it? Then this is the place for you! Welcome to the Students’ Stable.  My name is Kit the San Joaquin Kit Fox, and this is my friend Burt the Burrowing Owl. We are California state-listed endangered species. We are here to help you learn more about us and the other animals and plants that live here in California – and why protecting our natural habitat is so important. We’ll even tell you what “stewardship” means so you can become a steward of the environment, too!
